W. Edgar Robinson - World War I Hero
After playing for the storied Winnipeg Victorias club, Robinson survived being a POW during World War I in North Africa.
William Edgar “Turkey” Robinson was born in Selkirk on August 12th, 1888. The son of a millionaire businessman and steamboat operator, Robinson was a noted player for the storied Winnipeg Victorias club and lived in a house on 712 Langside Street in Winnipeg.
