Winnipeg's Wally Stanowski was a four-time Stanley Cup winner with the Toronto Maple Leafs over the course of the 1940s.
There weren't too many faster skaters in the 1940's than Wally Stanowski. Known as the Whirling Dervish, Wally was a speedy and clever defensive defensemen who always took care of the business in his own zone rather than taking part in the offense.
