Keeping Up With Marty Pavelich
95-year-old Marty Pavelich won four Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings during their dynasty years in the early 1950s.
Marty Pavelich played ten seasons for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League from 1947 until 1957. At 95 years of age, he is the last surviving member of the Red Wings 1950 Stanley Cup team.
Pavelich was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, in 1927, and joined the Red Wings at age 19, signing a contract that earned him $6,000.
