Georges Vezina: The Holy Grail Of Signatures

Only one signature of the legendary goaltender Georges Vezina has ever surfaced.

To this day, hockey memorabilia collector Sean Broderick is still the only person to find an autograph of Georges Vezina. At least, one that’s ever surfaced online for sale.

Broderick’s Georges Vezina autograph came from the collection of the late Harold Shigley. 

“From what I remember, Harold collected everything and anything back in the early to mid-1900s,” said Sean Broderick. “He traveled the world and collected many items in his lifetime and was sort of an Indiana Jones type collector. His grandson was parting with some of the collection in the early 2000s and had a couple of rare baseball autographs on eBay and I reached out just to ask about other autographs.”
