Gallinger Was Banned For Life
In 1948, Don Gallinger and Billy Taylor were banned for life by the National Hockey League in the biggest gambling scandal to ever hit the league.
I don’t normally give hockey books special shoutouts on this newsletter. But a colleague of mine recently penned a book on Don Gallinger, who is infamously known for being banned from hockey for betting on games.
