Smiley Meronek was one of those players who was worthy of a longer NHL career, but it just wasn’t in the cards. In nineteen games over two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, Meronek tallied thirteen points. That’s some solid production so there had to be something else of why this player didn’t get more of a look in the National Hockey League.
