Winnipeg’s Pete Kelly was the youngest of four hockey playing brothers.

The family moved to St. Vital in Winnipeg from Glasgow, Scotland in 1910. Young Pete was then born in St. Vital on May 22nd, 1913.

Pete was once the mascot for his brother Jimmy’s St. Vital juvenile hockey team where he and Wilf Starr were members. Pete left home for Montreal when he was fourteen and never looked back.
