Art Somers was born in Winnipeg on January 19th, 1902. At only 5’5’’, 167lbs, Somers may have been on the smaller side but he played a big game.

Somers started his hockey career in Winnipeg in 1918 and then played briefly for the Selkirk Fishermen.
